Happy Holidays, all! As we approach these last days of this decade (!) I wanted to spend a moment acknowledging how this year, despite its struggles for many, and not to mention national politics, has also been a year of growth and celebration, and I wish to fill this last newsletter of 2019 with that sentiment. Personally, I am a year older and wiser, as are my children, and we have all grown this past year and are looking forward to exciting new chapters in 2020. Similarly, The Village Doctor is poised for the new decade, with new programming, a new Massage Therapist (welcome, Kyna!) and a new Internist starting in January (more in our next newsletter)! This brings TVD to 5 physicians, 3 medical assistants, and 3 Wellness Studio providers, all here to bring you health and wellness in the new year (not to mention our fearless and talented business manager, Dana Sanderson, without whom none of this would be possible). And not to be outdone, and an important “FYI”, Stanford now has one new hospital, but two new Emergency Departments to better serve you, and us. I mention this as an “FYI” as the original ED has been restructured as Stanford’s new Pediatric Emergency Department, seeing sick and injured patients under the age of 20. Adults ages 21 and up will be seen at the new Emergency Department which is part of the beautiful new hospital at 500 Pasteur Drive. So a lot new, a lot to be proud of, and especially, a lot to be grateful for. As I am grateful for all of you. Here’s to a Healthy and Happy 2020.
