Pediatric Innovation
We know you want the best for your children—care that’s not just technically advanced but also based on a deep and trusting relationship with your doctor. At The Village Doctor, we combine these time-honored values with cutting-edge pediatric innovation.
Leading the Way in Pediatric Innovation
We believe in the power of innovative medicine to shape a brighter future for your little ones. Our approach to pediatric care centers around your unique child, ensuring they receive the most advanced care available. From the latest in pediatric screening and treatment to pioneering methods of communication that make healthcare more accessible, The Village Doctor is committed to leading the way in innovation in pediatric care.
Advanced Tools for Early Detection and Intervention
Early detection and intervention are key to your child’s well-being, so our board-certified pediatricians are constantly seeking new and innovative approaches to prevention and treatment. Big data and AI are creating remarkable diagnostic and treatment opportunities, and our doctors have the time to deeply consider emerging technologies and their best application for your family. The powerful technology behind genomics screening allows for early intervention like never before. Our smartphone-based vision screening can detect vision issues from as early as 6 months of age. Our iPad-based hearing screenings turn a routine check-up into an engaging “game,” making the experience less intimidating and more effective. Lastly, our new Biofire Spotfire system is an advanced molecular diagnostic platform that uses multiplex PCR technology to rapidly and accurately detect respiratory pathogens at the point of care, delivering results in approximately 15 minutes to enable timely and informed clinical decisions.
A Relationship-Driven Approach to Healthcare
The Village Doctor is dedicated to the values we embraced over 20 years ago, as “Old-fashioned values. Modern medicine.” Innovation in pediatric care can make the most difference to your child when your doctor has a strong connection with you and your family. At The Village Doctor, we understand that healthcare is a journey and we are privileged to be on this journey with you.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Pediatric Innovation Medicine improve my child's care?
As one of the first concierge pediatric practices in the country, The Village Doctor has had over twenty years to witness the beneficial impact of new technologies for screening and early diagnosis on our patients. As such, our doctors remain firmly committed to incorporating innovation in pediatric medicine to improve your child’s care.
Is Pediatric Innovation Medicine covered by insurance?
The Village Doctor does not participate in the traditional fee-for-service insurance model. All visits to The Village Doctor are included in membership, so there are no claims to submit to your carrier.
How does Pediatric Innovation Medicine differ from traditional pediatrics?
The foundation of traditional pediatrics was built on having the time to develop a relationship with your child and your family. Nowadays that foundation is undermined by an adherence to “stopwatch” medicine, but not at The Village Doctor. Our doctors are fortunate to have unrestricted time with your child, as well as time to evaluate and incorporate into your child’s care the remarkable innovations being developed in our Silicon Valley backyard and beyond.
What kind of conditions are treated in Pediatric Innovation Medicine?
Innovations in pediatric medicine apply to all aspects of the care of your child, from screening for rare conditions, to providing new and accessible communication tools for your child to talk to their doctor about adolescent issues like peer pressure, stress at school and high school relationships.
