Let us give thanks.
As I try to squeeze this newsletter contribution in before it becomes December already (gasp!), let me, and all of us, pause for a few moments to give thanks, to hold a few undistracted moments of gratitude in our hearts.
I am certainly thankful for friends, family, and loved ones. I am also thankful for all of you, and very much also for #TeamTVD, without whom none of this would be possible. Let me also be thankful for our health, and remind all of us not to take this for granted.
To that end, let me also give a shout out to the Movember organization, a global non-profit changing the face of men’s health. Founded in Melbourne, Australia (!) in 2003, Movember now has official campaigns in 21 countries and together has raised more than AUD 730 million to fund over 1,000 men’s health programs. Their focus has broadened to four key men’s health issues: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity.
