Prerana R. Sangani, MD, MPH
Dr. Sangani is a graduate of Swarthmore College, received her MD from the University of Rochester and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. After her Residency training, she went on to complete a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley followed by a Preventive Medicine Residency at UCSF.
Dr. Sangani’s health care philosophy integrates physical, social, and mental health and she strives to provide individualized care for her patients’ unique lifestyles. In addition, she has extensive experience in women’s health issues and chronic disease management.
After practicing with The Village Doctor for a period of eight years, Dr. Sangani took a hiatus during which she pursued training in the John Kabat- Zinn Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program, as well as in different meditation practices, breathing for cognitive benefit, and somatic/sympathetic systems. She returns to The Village Doctor having integrated these skills in her clinical practice.
