National Wear Red Day

This Valentine’s month, join us in at The Village Doctor in focusing attention on all things heart-related withAmerican Heart Month, sponsored by the American Heart Association, with a goal of eradicating heart disease and stroke. We at The Village Doctor will be joining communities throughout the nation this Friday, February 1st, for National Wear Red Day in honor of women’s health and heart disease prevention. 1 in 3 women dieof heart disease or stroke each year. Please remind all of your loved ones to have their blood pressure and cholesterol checked regularly, to stop smoking, and to practice a healthy lifestyle of regular exercise and nutritious eating. If you’re a patient of ours, please do come in for your annual this year so that we can review and minimize heart disease risk factors. Educate your family, teaching your kids the importance of healthy eating and staying active. Support members of our community locally and nationally working to promote physical education, healthy eating and heart disease risk reduction: #SoulFoodSalon, #FoodCorps, #WISEWOMAN, #You’reTheCure

Wishing you a heart-healthy and very happy Valentine’s Day.
