The Village Doctor Newsletter – Week of October 16, 2023

October?! Visions of pumpkins and beer steins (and flu vaccines) come to mind. Let me raise a glass to Dr. Maia Mosse who has now been part of #TeamTVD for a full month. I’m happy to report things are going well, as evidenced by her first Yelp review:

Maia Mosse is an absolutely wonderful amazing primary care doctor. Her support staff at the Village Doctor are also great. She has made an real impact to my mom’s health and state of mind with her kindness, thoroughness, positive energy, sound judgment and proactive medicine. We are very fortunate to have found her.”

“Prost”, Maia! We are fortunate to have found you, too!

Do you have something lovely to say about your The Village Doctor physician or medical assistant? We’re proud of our many 5-Star reviews… Please feel free to add one here (Google+) or here (Yelp). I thank you in advance for your support!

In health and wellness, and service to our community,

Eric

I have several “shoutouts” to friends (and family) this month. How #TeamTVD makes us proud. First off, a shout out to my brother-in-law, Stefanos Papadopulos (pictured above, left), and his team at ENGEO for both being awarded the prestigious “Outstanding Geotechnical Project” award for their work on the Treasure Island Redevelopment Project. Stefanos and ENGEO have been working on the Treasure Island project for nearly (wow!) twenty years. Perhaps more interestingly, and also announced this month, Stefanos’s company will be part of the exciting, and perhaps controversial, Forever California project which aims to give rise to an entirely new city within Solano County. If you haven’t heard about, or read about, Forever California, please do so here.

Finally, I’d like to recognize (again) my friend’s Tad and Dianne Taube who continue to change the face of the Peninsula (and the world) through their philanthropic efforts at The Taube Family Foundation. Taube Philanthropies does so much fine work, and most recently just in our backyard by providing the keystone donation for the new Taube Family Carriage House and Automobile Gallery. Once completed in 2025, the ground floor will feature a rotating gallery displaying collections from community enthusiasts with the second floor showcasing the association’s collection of 10 historic Brewster carriages, one of the top manufacturers of carriages in the mid-19th century, alongside Victorian-era gowns and the museum’s textile collection.

Thank you for all that you do, Tad and Dianne.

Eric.
