Jacqueline M. Bors, MD

As a young girl, Jackie dreamed of being a pediatrician, but she never imagined that she would return to her own hometown to live out that dream! Dr. Bors grew up in Woodside and attended Woodside Elementary School and Menlo School. She subsequently graduated Magna Cum Laude in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern California and went on to the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Bors then returned to the University of California, Los Angeles for her pediatric residency where she enjoyed working at Mattel Children's Hospital, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Olive View Medical Center and the Venice Family Clinics as together these institutions offer an incredible diversity of patients and pathology. She was subsequently honored to be chosen Chief Resident and stayed an extra year to assist in the training of future pediatricians and to gain additional experience in both inpatient and outpatient pediatrics as well as medical education.

Dr. Bors’s professional interests include newborn care and breastfeeding, diabetes, healthy weight management and sports medicine. She looks forward to creating life long bonds with her patients and their families!

Growing up in Woodside, Jackie was very involved in the equestrian world. In her younger years, she participated in Woodside Junior Riders. At age 5, she was introduced to the sport of vaulting, which is the sport of gymnastics on horseback, and she continued competitively until she went to college. Her team, the Woodside Vaulters, won several US National Championships, competed in Europe many times and won the bronze medal in the 1998 World Equestrian Games in Rome. During high school and college, she coached for the team and enjoyed introducing the sport to new generations of vaulters.

In Jackie’s free time, she enjoys cooking, hosting get togethers and creative arts. She also likes to stay active, whether it’s hiking, skiing, yoga or fitness classes. She enjoys adventure travel and is always seeking inspiration for her next trip. She is thrilled to be back in the area so she can spend more time with her wonderful and close-knit family!
